Know You Are In Love- What Does Love Mean?

We talk about it all the time. Poets have spent years trying to explain it. Authors have written countless books about love and what it all means. We hear songs about it, watch movies about it but what is love and how do you know you are in love?

What Does It Mean When You Know You Are In Love?

We use the word love, in a careless way, all the time. We talk about loving our dogs, our cats, our cars and our jobs but what do we really mean when we say we love something and how does all that compare to relationships and to know you are in love with just one special person.

Not Sure We Know We Are In Love

When it comes to relationships, we are a lot more careful about using the word love. When we are not sure we know we are in love we are cautious about saying too much. In a relationship the word Love means so much more than it does in other, less significant, circumstances. If you say you love a person, the word and the meaning are on a whole different level to when you say you love your car or your iPhone. You may love your car and you might be upset if it was damaged but you would get over it soon enough. When you know you are in love with someone the word love takes on a whole new level of importance. Love Is A Very Special Feeling

When know you are in love with someone it is a very special feeling. It is so much more than just the feeling of satisfaction you get from being proud of your car. When you are in love with somebody it feels like it affects your whole body as well as your mind and when a love affair goes wrong it can break your heart, cause you to lose interest in life and leave you feeling down and depressed for months if not years. For some people the feeling never goes away and the feeling of loss and disappointment can last for the rest of their life.

When It Hurts To Be Apart

When you know you are in love with someone special, it hurts to be apart. You feel an ache deep inside your chest just to be parted from them. You think of them constantly, for no particular reason and you want to share all your thoughts with them all the time.

You would be prepared to do just about anything to be with them and do almost anything for them. You would make a fool of yourself in front of the whole world just to declare your love for them. You open yourself up to them in a way that makes you defenceless and fragile because you care so much for them.

Enjoy The Feeling When You Know You Are In Love

So, if you find yourself stirring a cup of coffee and thinking of them. When you are trying to work but can’t because all you can think of is that special person. When you feel your heart beating stronger when you think about this person then yes, you probably know you are in love.
